Hi Everyone,
It’s a sad day at the Vetters’ house. Bama went off in the woods and passed away last night. Chris found him and we buried him out back this afternoon. Everybody’s pretty shaken up around here.
I don’t know what we are going to do for birthday songs. Bama was the only singing dog I ever knew, and he’s celebrated everybody’s birthday since Maddie was little. It just won’t be the same.
Maddie wanted a “little pink puppy” when she was about four, and Bama is who came and blessed our house. He and Jesse have been great buddies forever, and my kids really can’t remember a time when he was not part of our family.
Thanks to everyone who played with him over the years, listened to his birthday songs, put up with him standing around your feet, and just in general loved our little dog.
Bama, we miss you!
 

We stopped at Rock City on the way home from Atlanta. It was a perfect break in the drive and lots of fun!

Maddie's volleyball team won a big game today. She played with a sore wrist and really toughed it out. This picture shows her and Gabbie, Maria, Kaitlin and her coach Mrs. McCarthy. They are small but Mighty! 

Jesse just completed his run of the Miracle Worker at GCHS. He played Annie's Professor. The show was a big hit and was an excellent part for a freshman! Here he is at the curtain call with his "blind girls." 

Youth Ministry

Chris is teaching Maddie's Youth Ministry with her good friend Sharon Boller (background yelling!). They are having a plunger race here. Maddie has to use all her strength to push this fella!

New Years Eve Party! Tanya and Chris set out a huge speread for everyone, and at Midnight we watched the ball drop in Times Square with friends and family. Welcome to 2005!

Abby Cota and her new GodParents! The Baptism Sunday was lovely. Grace and Abby were Baptised and Kurt and Maddie were the Godparents of Abby. Grace's Godparents are Tim and Maureen, Char's sister and her husband. Great party afterward! 

Jesse carries the Boar's Head at The Madrigal Dinner at GCHS. This dinner is a 25 year old tradition at Greenfield Central. We had a medieval feast with live enterainment from Jesse and the choral crew. 

Maddie and Chris took a girls trip to Chicago for the weekend! They finished the Christmas shopping and had a blast. You'll never guess where they had to eat supper! 

Jim at the Colts-Titans Game. Rob Morris, #94, ran a blocked Field Goal back for the game-changing touchdown. Jim watched a lot of the pregame festivities right by the field. Go Colts! 

Thanksgiving at the Vetters 2004

We all had a great time at the Lake for Thanksgiving. Maddie won the Monopoly tournament and we ate so much we couldn't move! Ben and Jake were so much fun, and it was great to see everybody.

Maddie's Kid's Play was awesome! Her character was Moo Goo Gai Pan, an oriental space alien bent on taking over planet Earth. But she had a change of heart and became the heroine! She even got to do a kung fu kick! Yea Maddie!
